Zion White House sits at No. 20 Kalukele, in the hills above the town. There is a garden to sit in, a barbecue for when the evening is clear, a shared kitchen and a lounge with a fire. Breakfast is cooked to order and brought to your room — Sri Lankan, continental, or a full English if the walk ahead is long.

Nuwara Eliya sits at 1,890 metres, so nights run 10–15°C and January can touch 6°C. Every room has a fireplace laid each evening, wool blankets and hot water at any hour. Bring a jacket for the veranda after dark — guests rarely expect Sri Lanka to be cold.
Yes. All four rooms, the shared kitchen, the lounge and the garden, for up to 12 guests — we hold the double room back so there is somewhere to put a driver, or a room in hand if one is needed. The moment a whole-house stay is confirmed the calendar closes those nights to everyone else, so you are never sharing the veranda with strangers — that is enforced by the booking system itself, not by someone remembering.
At any age. The family rooms take a queen bed and two singles, the garden is walled and the drive is off the road. Tell us how old they are when you book and we will set the room up for it — extra beds and cots depend on the room, so ask and we will say plainly what fits.
Roughly five hours by car from Colombo or the airport, up through Hatton. The prettier way is the Kandy–Ella train to Nanu Oya, nine kilometres from the door. Tell us your train and we will arrange a car to meet it.
Breakfast, always — eggs cooked to order, hoppers on request, estate tea grown ten minutes from the gate. Lunch and dinner are cooked in the house if you ask the day before: rice and curry for the table, or something simpler. There is no restaurant, which is why the kitchen listens.
Free cancellation up to seven days before arrival on a room, and fourteen days on the whole house — the longer notice on the house because booking it closes all four rooms, which we cannot then re-let. We also hold a room for 24 hours with no card and no deposit while you settle a flight or a train, which the booking apps cannot do for you. Your own dates and deadline are on your booking page, and you can cancel there yourself.
